Hinge Types
Determining Hinge types:
Size, radius and function are all factors in deciding which hinge we need.
Size: Our standard interior hinges are 3 1/2” x 3 1/2” , standard exterior hinges are 4” x 4 1/2”
Radius: The above photo shows how to determine the radius. On all standard residential projects our standard is 5/8”. The only time that may change is if we are machining to match something previously done, or a specialty hinge is selected.
Function: Standard plain bearing, Ball Bearing (heavy duty), Spring hinges, NRP (non removable pin) are some of the functions we use. We determine the use of these based on size, location and function of your door.
